With compassion and respect, St. Pete Free Clinic changes lives by providing health care, nutritious food, recovery housing, and education for our neighbors in need throughout Pinellas County, Florida for over 50 years. Founded in 1970, St. Petersburg Free Clinic began as a single walk-in medical facility that provided basic health care services to people without health insurance and without the means to provide adequate health care for themselves and their families. In subsequent years, as additional needs of the community have been identified, it has expanded its services, becoming a multi-service, multi-site agency to address the need for food, supportive housing and health care.

St. Pete Free Clinic (SPFC) is a nonprofit organization working to advance food security and expand health in Pinellas County, Florida. Its programs connect community members with practical support, recognizing that well-being depends on more than medical care alone. Through its food programs, including the FRESH Pantry and community food bank, SPFC provides nutritious food and hygiene assistance. In 2025, the organization recorded 370,000 pantry visits and distributed more than 21 million pounds of food.
SPFC also offers healthcare for uninsured adults through health and dental services, medication support, and health education. Its community navigation services help individuals access resources such as transportation assistance, Florida identification and birth certificates, and other community services tailored to their needs. The organization additionally provides FRESH Pace, which supports healthy stores, along with recipes and other food-related resources.
Volunteers, donors, and community partners help sustain SPFC’s work. Through its programs and partnerships, the clinic aims to turn food access into nourishment, healthcare into healing, and personal support into greater stability for local neighbors.
