St Peter's Swimming Club

St. Peter’s Swimming Club is a community-focused swimming club based at the St. Peter’s School pool in Cambridge, New Zealand. It supports swimmers at different stages, from beginners building confidence in the water to elite performers pursuing high-level goals. The club’s four squads provide clear development pathways: Warriors focus on foundational skills and enjoyment; Vikings support developing competitors through structured training; Titans prepare rising athletes for regional competition; and Knights offer advanced training for elite performers.

Coaching is led by Head Coach Alastair Johnson, Development Coach Savanna Bourke, and Coach Max Downey. Training sessions run throughout the week, with timetables and fees varying by squad. Swimmers progressing from St. Peter’s Swim School move into a suitable squad, while swimmers joining from other clubs attend an assessment to determine placement.

The club also welcomes community involvement through sponsorship, volunteering, and fundraising. Its supporters contribute to areas including equipment, nutrition, photography, design, and sports recovery. St.
