Stralend Nieuw is a Volendam-based specialist that gives old furniture a fresh look through professional blasting and finishing. Rather than replacing a table, chair or cabinet, customers can have its surface treated and choose a finish suited to their interior. After blasting, the furniture can be protected with a lacquer layer and, if desired, given a new colour. Stralend Nieuw offers a choice of dozens of colours and provides colour advice, including sample finishes applied to small areas so customers can see how options look on their furniture.

The company also serves professional clients, including contractors, with blasting services for renovation and other projects. Its work extends beyond wood to materials such as metal and natural stone, and includes cleaning contaminated concrete, rusty fences and balconies, as well as removing graffiti. Different blasting media, such as granules, sand or garnet, are selected according to the surface. Stralend Nieuw’s project gallery features before-and-after photographs, showing how its services can help restore and refresh a range of items and surfaces.
