StrangeKind Ballooning offers small-basket hot air balloon experiences in Albuquerque, New Mexico, designed to feel intimate, relaxed, and personal rather than like mass tourism. Flights launch from sites on Albuquerque’s west mesa and drift with the wind over the high desert and Rio Grande Bosque, with possible views of the river, downtown, farmland, other balloons, and the Sandia Mountains. The company offers shared sunrise and sunset flights starting at $169, as well as private flights starting at $315.
Flights typically last 45 to 60 minutes, depending on conditions, and include a pilot briefing, a chance to watch the balloon being prepared and inflated, and a post-flight champagne toast. StrangeKind operates several commercial balloons with smaller passenger capacities, helping create a less crowded experience. Guests can book flights, purchase gift cards, and explore private-flight and proposal options, as well as Balloon Fiesta rides.
The company also offers Kind-A-Saurus Rex, a baby dinosaur-shaped balloon available for festivals, celebrations, and school events
