The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute

The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute is an acting school with campuses in New York and Los Angeles, dedicated to teaching Lee Strasberg’s approach to Method Acting. The institute offers training for aspiring actors at different stages, including two-year and one-year conservatories, a 12-week program, intensives, workshops, and summer programs. Los Angeles also offers an associate degree program, guest artist training, alumni classes, and an acting workshop in Spanish. Young Actors at Strasberg provides programs for children and teens, while international workshops and online acting classes extend learning beyond the campuses.

Students can access faculty instruction, class descriptions, productions, events, and resources such as scene and casting databases. The institute also provides information for prospective and current students, including application requirements, tuition, scholarships, and support for international students and veterans. Its activities include StrasbergTALKS, alumni events, and the Lee Strasberg Film Festival, which celebrates independent cinema and acting. Through its education and creative programs, the institute carries forward Strasberg’s legacy and supports actors pursuing work in film, television, and theatre.
