StrayDogs

Stray Dogs is an international association founded in 2015 to document and study the lives of free-roaming dogs around the world, particularly where they live near human settlements. Its work focuses on understanding stray-dog populations and supporting better coexistence between people and animals in places where the relationship is especially complex. The association conducts field research using observation, camera traps, tracking, identification of local resources, zoological censuses and interviews with community members.

It gathers and analyzes relevant ethological and anthropological data to assess how groups of free-roaming dogs interact with their surroundings, including potential impacts, risks and benefits. Stray Dogs also develops international projects and offers research, training and collaboration activities. Its Stray Dogs Tracker app is designed to monitor and census dogs and resources in specific areas.
