StreetSafe is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of young, at-risk drivers. They offer a range of programs and services designed to foster healthier decision-making and behaviors behind the wheel. Their flagship program is the StreetSafe Lifesaving Driving Experience, which provides a hands-on, controlled environment for young drivers to experience, witness, and discuss the consequences of unsafe driving.
Taught by First Responders, who have firsthand knowledge of the tragic results of poor driving, these exercises aim to change driving behaviors that lead to moving violations, crashes, DUIs, injuries, and death. In addition, StreetSafe also offers the Alcohol & Drug Education Program, which educates young people about the consequences of their actions involving alcohol and drugs. Through interactive discussions and hands-on experiences, students learn from both the victims and offenders of real-life tragedies.
The goal is to change bad habits and help students understand the consequences of their actions in a respectful and engaging manner. With StreetSafe, the focus is on education and fostering a healthy respect for safe driving practices to ultimately save lives on the road
