Stroke Angel

StrokeAngel.org is a stroke recovery resource created by Skip Batchelder, a stroke survivor, with support from his caregivers. Drawing on his experience of stroke survival, treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery, the site aims to help survivors and their caregivers find practical guidance, reassurance, and hope as they face the challenges that follow a stroke.

Its quick guides and accompanying PDFs cover key stages and aspects of recovery, including a hospital stay, acute rehabilitation, returning home, emotional wellbeing, caregiving, sleep and relaxation, health and safety, fitness, exercise, nutrition, and planning. Visitors can also explore Skip’s stroke story, personal milestones, recovery updates, and lessons learned, alongside stroke prevention information, recovery resources, reference materials, and a blog. The site includes a clinicians’ area and information about the survivor’s physical therapist, as well as a glossary and contact details.
