Rede Brasil AVC

Stroke Beyond Borders, known as Rede Brasil AVC, is a Brazilian nongovernmental organization established in 2008 to improve care for people affected by stroke throughout the country. It provides information and resources for both patients and health professionals, covering stroke warning signs, risk factors, prevention, treatment, recovery, and access to care. For professionals, the network shares clinical guidance and resources, including assessment tools, guidelines, research information, and materials on stroke units and specialized centers.

The organization supports initiatives to combat stroke and coordinates or contributes to projects, research, events, and training, including programs connected with Latin America and international collaboration. Its continuing education offering includes free courses, live sessions, and other activities, while its certification program helps centers pursue recognition. Rede Brasil AVC also publishes news and information about studies and volunteer recruitment. Its free AVCBR app helps users identify stroke signs, find nearby specialized centers, and assess prevention risks with the Riscômetro. Through these resources and activities, the organization works to strengthen stroke awareness, education, and care across Brazil.
