Stromagent

Stromagent is an online service that helps households in Germany compare electricity and gas tariffs and find options suited to their location and annual consumption. Its comparison process is designed to be quick and free: users enter a postcode and estimated usage, then review available tariffs, including prices, contract terms and possible bonuses. The site directs users to a comparison partner, and says there are no additional costs for consumers; Stromagent may receive a commission when someone completes a tariff through a link.

The service also explains how to switch providers. In most cases, the new provider handles cancellation of the existing contract and manages the change, while energy supply continues without interruption. Stromagent provides guidance on information that may help with a comparison, such as meter number, current supplier and customer number. Its articles and FAQs cover switching electricity or gas providers, comparing prices, understanding standard supply tariffs and deciding when a change may be worthwhile.
