RS Flyinge

RS Flyinge brings together Sweden’s national equestrian centres, Ridskolan Strömsholm and Flyinge, to educate the next generation of people in equestrian sport and prepare both people and horses for life. Its programmes span upper-secondary, vocational, university, folk high school and short-course education, serving learners at different stages of their development and careers in the horse industry.

Training options include equestrian instruction, horse management, farriery, riding-school pedagogy, leadership and horse-assisted activities. Courses combine theory with practical experience, often involving the centres’ trained school horses; some offer flexible or semi-distance study. Certain programmes are delivered in collaboration with Wången.

Beyond education, RS Flyinge hosts clinics, seasonal training, masterclasses and competitions, including international dressage events. The organisation also shares articles and insights on equestrian careers, research and horse welfare. Its research initiatives include exploring whether horses can communicate preferences through symbols, with the aim of supporting welfare and stronger relationships between horses and people. Across its activities, RS Flyinge connects professional development, practical learning and equestrian knowledge.
