Stroud District Council

Stroud District Council is the local authority serving residents and communities across Stroud District. Its website provides information and online services to help people manage everyday tasks, access support and take part in local life. Residents can check bin collection dates, arrange garden waste or bulky waste collections, find recycling centres and report missed collections. Council services also cover council tax payments and support, benefits, housing applications, homelessness and services for council tenants and leaseholders.

The council handles planning applications, building control and local planning, and provides information about jobs, apprenticeships and work experience. Its community, health and wellbeing services include Careline, healthy lifestyle support, leisure and safeguarding information. People can explore local events, parks, trails, sports and cultural opportunities, as well as advice on environmental health, energy efficiency and biodiversity. The council also provides parking permits and information about roads, roadworks and closures. Through its work with community partners, it supports heritage, arts and cultural initiatives, including plans to create a Centre for Textile Arts in Stroud’s Old Town Hall. Residents can use online tools to report issues, make payments and find property-specific information.
