HEA

The Higher Education Authority (HEA) is dedicated to enhancing Ireland's higher education and research landscape. As a pivotal organization, the HEA provides valuable oversight and strategic direction, ensuring a diverse array of institutions function cohesively to meet the distinct needs of students and society. Central to their mission is the management of various student finance programs, including the Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) scheme, the 1916 Bursary Fund, and the Fund for Students with Disabilities. These initiatives aim to provide financial assistance to students pursuing further and higher education, helping remove barriers to access and support academic success.

The HEA also champions initiatives such as the Student Assistance Fund and the Back to Education Allowance, alongside offering essential information regarding eligibility for free tuition fees. With a focus on innovation, equity, and inclusion, the HEA is committed to creating a supportive environment for all learners, ensuring that higher education in Ireland remains accessible and transformative.
