Through their One Health Approach, SAS-Africa empowers young people across Africa to become advocates in the fight against AMR. With the majority of the population being young people, their active participation is crucial in curbing this health burden.

SAS-Africa raises awareness about AMR among students and nurtures them to transmit appropriate knowledge, attitudes, and practices to their communities. They offer various programs and projects, including the AMR Ambassadors Program for Young People in Africa, the Leaders' Program for Tertiary Students, and the AMR Gamification Project. These initiatives focus on education, infection prevention and control, research, and innovation.
