Studio 397 is a global brand based in the Netherlands that specializes in developing the rFactor 2 racing simulation title. With a team of experienced developers and artists, our mission is to create the most realistic and engaging sim racing platform available. We achieve this through advanced physics, a new graphics engine, and a comprehensive competition infrastructure.
As the most diverse simulation to date, rFactor 2 offers an array of motorsports experiences, including Formula cars, Karts, and Stock Cars. Crafted by experts in the field, the game features full single-player modes, championships, hotlaps, and a robust online and offline multiplayer platform. The racing experience is unparalleled with dynamic day to night transitions, live weather cycles, and a track surface that reacts to temperature and rubber laid down by other cars.
Our AI is renowned for its realism, learning new tracks and adjusting its strength and aggressiveness accordingly. Studio 397 leads the way in realism with its physics engine, which powers multiple racing titles. Our tracks are meticulously built with attention to detail, including surface aberrations and trackside objects.
We also focus on creating immersive racing environments outside of the track, such as paddock areas. Accessibility is a priority for us, as rFactor 2 supports various controller types, from gamepads to high-end wheels and pedals. The title also offers multiple assist options to cater to all skill levels.
Additionally, VR integration provides unique modes for driving and viewing. We pride ourselves on being an open platform, empowering our users to create and share their own content through our workshop. Through the plugin API, extensions like motion platform support, advanced spotter tools, broadcast capabilities, and live timing pages can be incorporated.
We foster a strong user community and welcome their innovations. Powering eSports, rFactor 2 offers flexibility for sponsors and platforms, supporting various car and track types, competition rules, and real-time statistics. We have partnered with McLaren's World's Fastest Gamer and have more exciting series on the horizon.
