Studio MTX

Studio MTX is a Paris-based creative studio established in 2013 by Atelier Montex, the embroidery Maison d’art, and part of Chanel’s le19M. It develops architectural embroidery as a distinctive form of decorative art, carrying traditional embroidery techniques beyond clothing and into interiors, objects, and spatial design. The studio works with thread, sequins, and other materials in innovative ways, turning embroidery into surfaces and structures.

Its portfolio includes bespoke panels, decorative surfaces, artefacts, and installations, alongside projects for locations and clients such as the Grand Palais, Cartier, and the Celebrity Edge. Studio MTX also creates collectible objects, including Alpha Centauri, a luminous, hollow globe made from laser-cut mirrored PMMA triangles, 3D-printed connectors, and brass screws, assembled by hand in France. The studio’s surfaces and artefacts explore varied patterns, finishes, and materials, combining skilled craftsmanship with contemporary design. Through commissions and original creations, Studio MTX offers a fresh approach to embroidery, shaping decorative elements that bring texture, light, and visual interest into architectural spaces.
