Studio Ecoa

ECOA, also known as Studio ECOA, is a Paris-based architecture practice founded by Émilie Couillault in 2009. Its team typically includes three to five collaborators and works in a shared, interdisciplinary environment alongside architects, graphic designers, engineers and urban planners. This mix of perspectives informs projects ranging from renovations and extensions to new construction and temporary installations.

The studio works across a varied portfolio, including housing, workplaces, public buildings and cultural or civic spaces. Its projects include reversible laboratories and offices, residential buildings, timber housing, courtrooms, reception areas in historic tribunals, and multimedia rooms in municipal buildings. ECOA also undertakes adaptations to existing structures, such as renovating shared areas, upgrading audiovisual facilities and extending a community hall in wood. Other work includes an artistic installation for the London Festival of Architecture and a waste-processing facility at Poissy Intercommunal Hospital. Project categories featured by the studio include rehabilitation, public-access buildings, timber construction, new builds and works in progress.
