Studio Marienaade

Studio Marienaade is a ceramics studio run by Mariena Steensma at Potterie Jacobsladder in Milsbeek, a historic pottery site that also houses the Museum De Oude Pottenbakkerij. The studio makes and sells ceramic work and invites visitors to create, learn and meet through hands-on pottery experiences.

Workshops cover both wheel throwing and hand-building, with options ranging from short and multi-day courses to sessions for an evening or a full day. Visitors can book individually or come with family and friends. The ceramics workshop also offers space and equipment for people who want to work independently.

Studio Marienaade creates personal ceramic urns and memorial pieces, including urns for pets. Customers may commission these works or take part in making them. Other offerings include a mini-urn workshop for families and friends, and custom ceramic tile panels for gifts or home decoration.

At Potterie Jacobsladder, guests can explore the history of pottery alongside contemporary making. The museum offers groups guided tours, workshops, or a combination of both.
