About Studio Toggle
Studio Toggle is a multi-award winning brand studio based in Kuwait and Porto, working in three main areas: Architecture, Urbanism, and Activism. Founded in 2012 by Architects Hend Almatrouk and Gijo Paul George, after graduating from the Universität für Angewandte Kunst, Vienna, Studio Toggle focuses on logical design and problem-solving techniques with a specific emphasis on Architecture and Urban Design. Their belief in the balance between opposites, the idea that form follows function, and that simplicity can be complex, drives their design philosophy.
With studios in Kuwait City, Porto, and Bangalore, Studio Toggle has successfully designed and delivered projects of various scales and typologies, ranging from public-sector, commercial, residential, and hospitality architecture to interior design. The brand's expertise has been recognized globally, with prestigious awards such as the American Institute of Architects Honor and Merit Awards and the Architizer A+ Awards, among others.
