STUNS is a foundation that brings together the universities of Uppsala, businesses and the wider community to support sustainable growth in the Uppsala region. Its work focuses on creating opportunities through collaboration across these sectors, connecting knowledge, innovation and practical needs. STUNS operates in three main areas.
In energy, it works to develop the region as a leading testbed for energy and environmental solutions, where new technologies, services and business models can be tested and advanced. Its innovation systems work aims to ensure that people and organisations with innovative ideas can access a comprehensive, relevant support offering with international reach. In life science, STUNS serves as a strategic hub for cooperation among private and public sector partners, helping foster sustainable, knowledge-based growth in life science, health and related disciplines.
