Stutz Artists Association is an Indianapolis-based creative community bringing together independent artists and creative entrepreneurs who work side by side in shared spaces. Rooted in collaboration, creative freedom, and original work, its members represent a range of disciplines and contribute to the city’s cultural life. The association describes itself as one of Indianapolis’s longest-standing artist communities.
The Stutz welcomes the public to First Friday open studios, where visitors can meet artists, see where and how their work is made, and explore original art available for purchase. These events offer an opportunity to connect with local creatives and experience the studios as a community gathering place. The association also shares news and updates about its artists and events, and offers a residency program to support artists with space, resources, and opportunities to create and grow. Donations help fund operating expenses and the residency program. Located at 1060 N. Capitol Avenue, the Stutz invites visitors to arrange studio visits by appointment, as well as attend its scheduled public open studios.
