Società Tiratori del Vedeggio (STV) is a sports shooting club based at the Cava range in Torricella-Taverne, in Switzerland’s Vedeggio region. Founded in 1877, the club brings together around 140 members and welcomes competitive shooters, beginners and people interested in trying the sport as a hobby. Its main activity is rifle shooting across three distances: 10, 50 and 300 metres. During winter, members can also practise air-pistol shooting.

STV offers introductory courses for young people and adults, helping newcomers learn about the sport and take part in club activities. It also organizes and participates in competitions, including regional and national events, and celebrates members’ achievements across different shooting disciplines. The club holds popular shooting events that give local residents an opportunity to try shooting with guidance from instructors. Its programme also includes federal shooting events, such as obligatory shooting and the field shooting competition. Through training, competitions and community activities, STV serves both experienced marksmen and those looking for a welcoming first experience of sports shooting.
