About Stykka
Stykka is a progressive and innovative brand in the furniture industry, offering a range of products and services that cater to the needs of modern businesses and individuals. It all started with Stykka's online laser cutting service, which initially targeted architecture students, small businesses, and DIY enthusiasts. With a streamlined and automated setup, customers could easily upload their files, select their preferred materials, and receive their orders the next day.
As the brand evolved, Stykka expanded its services to include the production of laser-cut office furniture for fast-growing Danish businesses like Unity, Lunar, and Planday. However, when the global lockdown hit and the demand for office furniture plummeted, Stykka quickly adapted by launching a line of furniture designed specifically for studio apartments. One of Stykka's flagship projects was the production of 700 kitchen and bed units for DTU kollegiet in Lundtofte.
This project served as a crucial test for Stykka's circular and digitally produced furniture concept. Today, these products remain among Stykka's core offerings, reflecting their commitment to circular design, where furniture can be disassembled and repurposed. In addition to their innovative product range, Stykka has also developed an inventory management system that utilizes RFID and QR codes.
This system allows for easy tracking, reordering, and reuse of furniture components, while also providing valuable data for analysis and optimization.
