Succipro is a biotechnology spin-off of the Institut de Recerca Biomèdica CatSud (IRB CatSud) and Universitat Rovira i Virgili, focused on developing innovative medicines for inflammatory and metabolic diseases. Drawing on research from the DIAMET group, the company aims to turn scientific discoveries about succinate biology into precise therapies for patients with unmet medical needs.

Its approach centers on modulating succinate, a molecule involved in inflammation, and developing first-in-class treatments that may offer greater selectivity and fewer adverse effects. Succipro’s lead program is an investigational therapy for inflammatory bowel disease, designed to reduce excessive succinate levels and support a healthier microbiome while addressing intestinal and systemic inflammation.
