Sudbury Sprinters

The Sudbury Sprinters Speed Skating Club is a community sports club in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, introducing skaters to the sport and supporting athletes as they develop their skills. Its programs include Learn to Speed Skate and opportunities to take part in short-track and long-track training, meets, and competitions. New participants can register for the learn-to-skate program or attend try-it events; skaters should be able to skate independently and get up on their own after a fall.

The club serves a range of abilities, from beginners to experienced competitors, and promotes access, inclusion, growth through sport, and fun. Members train and compete at regional, provincial, and national events, while the club also hosts meets, championships, and long-track camps, including events at Queen’s Oval. Coaches, families, volunteers, and community supporters help make these activities possible. The Sudbury Sprinters have been recognized by Speed Skating Ontario as its 2024 Club of the Year and have received a Speed Skating Canada club excellence award.
