University of Suffolk Dental CIC

University of Suffolk Dental CIC is a social enterprise dedicated to improving access to NHS oral healthcare across Suffolk and North-East Essex. Created through an innovative collaboration between the University of Suffolk and the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board, it combines dental services with education and workforce development. Its state-of-the-art facility is located in Ipswich.

The organisation provides adult and children’s dental care, including NHS emergency and planned treatment, alongside oral health education. Its mission is to improve local oral health outcomes, access and patient experiences, deliver innovative dental care, and provide tailored education and training. It also aims to empower communities with knowledge that supports lasting improvements in oral health and helps reduce barriers to care.

Patients can self-refer for treatment by calling the service, or access it through NHS 111. Parents and carers seeking an appointment for a child can call directly; NHS 111 is available outside the clinic’s weekday opening hours.
