The Suffolk Heraldry Society is a registered charity dedicated to heraldry, with a particular connection to the history and arms of Suffolk. Its website introduces the Society and its work, and provides information about events, publications and exhibits. Visitors can explore material on Suffolk arms, English royal heraldry and a featured โCoat of Arms of the Month,โ as well as links to related resources.
The Societyโs badge reflects its history and heraldic interests. Its original badge showed a sun in splendour with the initials SHS; this was later replaced by the current design, created by John Brooke-Little, Norroy and Ulster King of Arms, and adopted in 1984. The oak-leaf and acorn crown in the design refers to founder Mrs Lorraine Greenoak, who led the Society until 1992. Sir Edmund Bedingfeld succeeded her and served until his death in 2011. Gerry de Roeper is identified as the present president.
The Society shares updates through Instagram and X and can be contacted by email.
