Sugar City Barrel Racers

Sugar City Barrel Racers is a community club based in Mackay, Queensland, offering divisional barrel racing and pole bending in a welcoming, family-friendly environment. The club is open to riders of all experience levels, from beginners to professionals, and welcomes youth and senior competitors. Its divisional format gives participants the opportunity to compete on a more level basis, develop their riding skills and progress through the divisions while continuing to challenge for competitive results.

Events provide riders with the chance to take part, learn and potentially win prize money. Barrel racing is commonly run in a five-division format, with divisions determined by time differences from the fastest run, allowing competitors with a range of abilities to participate. The club also shares information about events and clinics, membership, timesheets and points, and ways to get involved. End-of-year buckles are among the rewards available to competitors. Sugar City Barrel Racers encourages visitors to support its local business sponsors and invites interested riders and families to get in touch or attend an event.
