Sugartree Lane Preschool is an early learning and childcare centre in Auckland’s central business district, caring for local families since 2018. The small, community-focused centre provides a welcoming environment where children can feel safe, build relationships and learn at their own pace. Its Huhu Room supports infants through to three-year-olds, while the Pūriri Room serves children aged three to five as they prepare for school.

The programme encourages social, emotional, physical and cognitive development through child-led learning, free play and group activities. Cultural diversity, music and creative arts are central to the experience, alongside dedicated music and movement programmes. Families can also expect multilingual kaiako, chef-cooked meals and a gentle transition process tailored to each child. Sugartree offers information about fees and invites families to ask about 20 Hours free care and other affordability options.

Located at 1/145 Nelson Street, the preschool is open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 6:30pm. Parents can arrange a visit, meet the teaching team and learn about enrolment.
