About SUJO
The Center for Investigative Journalism (SUJO) at the University of Bergen, established in 2018, is a pioneering institution in the Nordic region dedicated to enhancing investigative journalism. Our primary goal is to bolster investigative reporting in Norwegian media, with a focus on local and regional outlets. We offer comprehensive educational programs, including a Master's and an Executive Master's program in Investigative Journalism. These programs cover essential aspects such as research methodologies, project development, data analysis, and programming.
Situated at Media City Bergen, a prominent media and technology innovation hub, we collaborate closely with the MediaFutures Research Centre and various global partners, including the Global Investigative Journalism Network. Our experienced team, led by Per Christian Magnus, Kristine Holmelid, and other seasoned professionals, ensures a high standard of journalism education and support for journalists and editors. Join us in advancing the field of investigative journalism for a brighter future.
