» Sulawesi Keepers

**Sulawesi Keepers** is a dedicated conservation initiative based in Sulawesi, Indonesia, committed to preserving the unique freshwater ecosystems of the region. Recognizing the urgent threat posed by invasive species, the organization connects aquarists, scientists, conservation organizations, and local communities to combat the extinction of endemic aquatic species such as shrimps, snails, crabs, and fish. Their mission extends beyond mere awareness; it emphasizes collaborative efforts to maintain biodiversity and sustainably manage natural resources.

Sulawesi Keepers works closely with notable partners, including Ostrava Zoo and the Leibniz Institute for Evolution and Biodiversity Science, to foster both ex situ and in situ conservation efforts. They engage in breeding programs for threatened species and advocate for community involvement, ensuring that local populations benefit from sustainable practices. Through educational initiatives and extensive partnerships, they strive to raise awareness of the vital importance of preserving these unique aquatic habitats, urging individuals and organizations to contribute to conservation through active involvement and donations.
