Summit Construction & Design is a custom home builder serving Durango, Bayfield, Hesperus, and La Plata County in Southwest Colorado. The company specializes in luxury rustic mountain homes, including mountain contemporary retreats, traditional Colorado homes, timber-frame residences, mountain lodges, and alpine retreats. Its work is shaped around each client’s vision, property, views, and way of life, with an emphasis on craftsmanship and homes designed to feel rooted in their setting.

Summit offers an integrated design-build service, coordinating the homebuilding process from architectural concepts through construction and completion. The process includes an initial consultation, site evaluation, conceptual and detailed design, early budget guidance, material and finish planning, construction documents, final pricing, permitting, and project management. The team also coordinates construction schedules, subcontractors, quality control, budget tracking, inspections, and communication.

By bringing design and building together, Summit aims to create a clear, coordinated path from planning to move-in while helping clients make informed decisions about costs, materials, and practical considerations specific to building in Southwest Colorado.
