Summitraining

Summitraining is a trail and running coaching service led by Julien Planaz, a sports coach and exercise physiology specialist based in the Annecy area. It supports athletes in Haute-Savoie, the wider region and internationally through remote coaching, as well as in-person sessions. Coaching is available for all levels, from beginners discovering trail running to experienced runners preparing for ultras, road races and other endurance goals.

Rather than relying on generic plans, Summitraining builds training around each athlete’s physiology, recent performance data, schedule and objectives. Plans are reviewed weekly and take account of fatigue, recovery and changing circumstances. Coaching can also include guidance on race strategy, pacing on steep terrain, sports nutrition, sleep and strength preparation. A free introductory call helps prospective clients discuss their goals and decide whether to work together.

Services include a one-time Starter plan, monthly Intermédiaire and All Inclusive remote coaching, individual and duo in-person sessions, small-group coaching and trail stages. The website also offers a free training-zone calculator and articles on endurance training and race preparation.
