Summit Skiers

Summit Skiers Inc is a New Zealand-wide, family-oriented snow sports club with roots in the Feilding and Manawatū community. Founded in 1954, it has grown into a close-knit community of more than 100 members, welcoming people of all ages who enjoy skiing, snowboarding and spending time in the mountains.

The club’s two-storey lodge is located on a ridge at the Top O’ the Bruce on Mount Ruapehu, about a 10-minute walk from the top car park and the RAL rental facility. With nine rooms and capacity for 30 guests, the lodge offers a comfortable base with access to ski from its front door to the chairlifts. Members share evening meals prepared by the duty team and relax together by the log fire.

Summit Skiers also brings members together through annual sports events for adults and juniors, interclub competitions and social activities. The club sponsors junior development programmes and encourages members to meet new friends and take part in the mountain community. New members are welcome.
