Sun Bae is a Korean martial arts organisation offering Taekwondo, Hapkido and Kumdo (sword) training in Brisbane and Toowoomba. Founded and led by Grandmaster Bradley Tatnell, the club has been teaching since 1983 and draws on World Taekwondo and Kukkiwon Taekwondo traditions. Grandmaster Tatnell is an 8th Dan Kukkiwon black belt and a first-class Kukkiwon grading examiner.
Classes combine Taekwondo and Hapkido in Sun Bae’s teaching system, while Kumdo is taught in separate sessions. Training is available for children aged 5–11 in Tigers classes and for students aged 11 to 55 and older in mixed classes. Lessons emphasise self-defence and allow students to train at their own pace. Students can pursue black belts in Taekwondo, Hapkido and Kumdo.
Sun Bae describes its club as welcoming and family-oriented, with family discounts and centres across the two cities. Prospective students can take advantage of a free trial and free uniform offer. The organisation also provides information on costs, grading, events and student benefits through its website.
