Sunnhordland Padleklubb

Sunnhordland Padleklubb is a kayaking club serving paddlers in the Sunnhordland area of Norway, including Bømlo, Stord and Fitjar. The club brings people together through sea kayaking courses, organized outings and other activities and events. Its program includes introductory sea kayaking courses, designed for beginners and those who want to build confidence and learn essential skills for safer paddling. Courses run during the summer, from June to September, and take place over two days. The club also offers courses adapted for young paddlers.

Members can borrow the club’s 10 to 12 kayaks at no charge, making it easier to try different models before deciding whether to buy one. Free kayak loans are available to members who have completed an approved introductory sea kayaking course. Group outings usually depart from Erestraumen, with other launch locations used when suitable. Trips are announced through the club’s website and Facebook page, and participants are expected to wear a drysuit or wetsuit because local waters are cold for much of the season.
