SunRanch

SunRanch is a welcoming ranch in Hürnheim, Germany, where people and animals can learn, connect and enjoy nature. Housed in a protected historic property dating to the 14th century, the ranch was developed by its owners after they took over the former inn in 2003. Its focus is animal welfare and creating a harmonious environment for visitors and residents alike.

SunRanch offers certified dual activation training, based on the method of Michael Geitner, through lessons and courses at the ranch or at clients’ own farms. Visitors can also take riding lessons, join nature experience sessions, learn about horse handling and receive feed advice. The ranch breeds and sells Pony of the Americas horses and provides related consultation and training.

Facilities include a 20-by-40-metre, three-sided open riding hall with sound and irrigation systems, paddock boxes for boarding horses, and riding trails in the Kartäusertal. Guests can stay with their horses, and individual lessons, tailored weekend courses and opportunities to help with stable tasks are available.
