Sunshine Cremations

Sunshine Cremations provides cremation services and personalised, non-traditional farewells designed around the life and personality of the person being honoured. Drawing on experience in traditional funerals, the business offers families greater flexibility in how, when and where they gather, moving beyond the conventional chapel setting. Suggested locations include a home, beach, park, restaurant, pub, surf club or sports facility, with celebrations possible on weekends or at sunrise or sunset. Its guiding approach is to keep an open mind and help create a farewell that reflects the guest of honour, provided arrangements are legal.

Services include Direct Cremation, listed at $2,995, which gives families the freedom to choose how and where to say goodbye. The Direct Cremation and Memorial Service package is listed at $3,995. A memorial service takes place without a coffin; ashes or a photograph may be present, though this is optional. Sunshine Cremations suggests that a professional celebrant can guide guests through a personalised service.
