Sunshine Helicopters is a renowned brand that offers exhilarating helicopter tours of Hawaii, Maui, Kauai, and the Grand Canyon. Founded by Ross and Anna Scott, the husband and wife team, Sunshine Helicopters has a rich history that began with a romantic elopement in 1963. Both graduates of the University of Washington, Ross's passion for flying led him to join the Army Helicopter Flight Training Program during the Vietnam War.
His bravery and love for flying earned him a Purple Heart and two Distinguished Flying Crosses. After their tour of duty, the Scott family settled in Anchorage, Alaska, where Ross managed a prominent aviation company. But a desire for a change in lifestyle brought them to Maui, where they initially started a charter boat business before Ross's longing for the skies led them to establish Sunshine Helicopters in 1985.
