Sunshine Pediatrics is a patient-centered pediatric practice serving children and families in Olathe and the greater Johnson County area. Founded in 1980 as Preferred Pediatrics, the practice adopted its current name in 2026 and is affiliated with Children’s Mercy Kansas City. Its team of four physicians provides care from birth through age 21, with a focus on compassionate, high-quality service and children’s long-term health and wellness.

Services include sick visits, well-child visits, physical exams, preventive care, and support for chronic conditions. The practice also offers timely appointments for acutely ill children and same-day urgent visits when available. At each visit, physicians encourage healthy habits and provide guidance for families at every stage of a child’s development. The medical team includes board-certified pediatricians with interests spanning newborn and adolescent care, preventive medicine, mental health, developmental and behavioral concerns, and special needs.

Located on South Mur-Len Road in Olathe, Sunshine Pediatrics welcomes new patients and offers weekday appointments. Its website provides parent resources, forms, policies, insurance information, and helpful articles.
