Sunshine Recovery House

Sunshine Recovery House is a recovery-based housing organization in Waco, Texas, providing a long-term, supportive home for women after addiction recovery. Its mission is to offer marginalized women in Central Texas a second chance and a safe place to rebuild, reconnect, and rediscover themselves. The house emphasizes accountability and provides a stable living environment intended to support residents as they move forward in recovery and work toward new beginnings.

The organization also shares residents’ journeys through personal stories, highlighting the people and experiences that make the house a place of hope. Community members can support its work by giving, sponsoring improvements, or helping meet immediate needs through its Adopt a Room initiative. A current project, “Restoring the Pink Lady,” seeks sponsors to renovate the front of the house and create a more welcoming exterior for women arriving there. Sunshine Recovery House publishes news and event updates and recognizes community partners who contribute to its efforts.
