Sunshine Sitters is a locally founded babysitting referral company serving families in St. Petersburg, Tampa, Treasure Island, and the wider Tampa Bay and Gulf Coast area. Founded by local mom Kara after her family saw a need for dependable childcare, the company connects parents with sitters, nannies, tutors, and other family-support providers. Its network includes locally based, personally interviewed, CPR-certified, and background-screened sitters.

Families can find help for date nights, occasional or last-minute babysitting, recurring weekly childcare, long-term nanny placements, and vacation or hotel stays. Additional services include mothers’ helpers, in-home pet sitting, dog walking, house sitting, home management, tutoring, and homework support. Care can be arranged for different schedules and family needs, with sitters available at homes, hotels, and vacation rentals.

Families can register for free and use the company’s app to book directly or post a childcare need for sitters to respond to. Sunshine Sitters aims to make family life easier by matching households with caring, reliable support for children, pets, and homes.
