SUPERA is a specialized educational program focused on training professionals in the detection and intervention of substance use disorders. The course is based on a self-directed learning approach, enhanced by expert tutoring in the field. It offers comprehensive educational resources, including a recently updated curriculum featuring seven traditional modules and an innovative module on harm reduction, developed by experienced authors from UNIFESP and UNIVESP.

The program has successfully enrolled over 135,000 participants through various partnerships, emphasizing both health and social assistance sectors. Upon completion, students receive a university extension certificate, recognizing 170 hours of training. Although there are currently no new cohorts available, SUPERA is dedicated to revising its content and methodologies to ensure the highest quality of education for its participants. The commitment to empowering professionals remains steadfast, with updates and information shared through social media platforms. SUPERA continues to play a crucial role in addressing substance abuse through effective education and intervention strategies.
