Millar Road is the home of Supernatural Wine Co., a renowned brand that specializes in producing certified organic and naturally vinified wines. Situated on a picturesque north-facing hillside estate in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, they are known for crafting low sulphur white and orange wines. With a strong emphasis on traditional processes and exceptional terroir, Millar Road strives to create true terroir-driven wines.
They dry farm their vineyard and use indigenous yeast from their own vineyard for fermentation. Their commitment to natural winemaking means they add nothing to their wines except a small amount of sulphur before bottling, and they avoid fining and filtering their skin-fermented wines. Their vineyard location, with its lime-rich clay and volcanic soil, produces distinctive wines in the New Zealand context.
