Super Start Preschool and Infant Care is a faith-based childcare program in Columbia, Missouri, serving children from six weeks to six years old. Located at 300 Portland Street, the center provides care in a welcoming environment guided by Christian values and a commitment to reflecting God through its daily work. Its schedule balances spiritual, educational, and recreational activities, introducing children to a relationship with Jesus.
The preschool program is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, emphasizing learning through play, exploration, hands-on experiences, and children’s questions. Super Start aims to help preschoolers develop confidence and prepare to adjust well to kindergarten. For infants, attentive and experienced staff tailor routines to each child’s developmental stage, including playtime, sleep cycles, and other activities that support growth.
The center is open from 6:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. and has a stated capacity of 95 students. Super Start offers enrollment information, rates, a parent handbook, and communication resources for families. Its website also invites people to join the team.
