Support Art Workers is a grassroots initiative launched in April 2020 in Greece, aiming to advocate for the visibility and support of cultural workers who were overlooked during the pandemic. With over 25,000 members from various artistic fields, the organization operates on a non-hierarchical model that fosters continuous dialogue among artists and cultural employees. Its primary goals include raising awareness of current challenges faced by cultural workers and pressuring the government for adequate support measures.

In addition to immediate relief efforts, Support Art Workers is committed to shaping a comprehensive cultural policy in Greece. The initiative comprises several interdependent subgroups, including Action, Open Meetings, Communication, Writing and Publishing, Solidarity, and Networking teams, all coordinated by an Organizational and Coordination Team. The organization stands united in addressing political challenges, striving for a healthy and sustainable future for all cultural workers in Greece. With a focus on solidarity, Support Art Workers is dedicated to facilitating discussions, actions, and movements that support the arts community.
