Surfair

Surfair is a paragliding school and equipment shop based in Arbas, in France’s Haute-Garonne region, in the Pyrenees between Toulouse and Luchon. Established in 1995 and recognised by the French Free Flight Federation, the school welcomes visitors from April to October at the Arbas flying site, in a protected natural setting. Its experienced, qualified instructors offer tandem flights and pilot training for people ranging from complete beginners to experienced pilots.

Tandem options include discovery, scenic, sensation, longer-duration flights, and opportunities to try the controls; gift vouchers are also available and remain valid for one year. Training follows the federation’s curriculum and combines theory with practical sessions. Courses cover introductory flying, progression and autonomy, thermal flying, cross-country skills, and performance, with some trips taking place in the Northern Alps or at Ager.

Surfair’s shop sells new and second-hand paragliding equipment, including demo wings, beginner packages, harnesses, reserve parachutes, helmets, GPS units, and variometers. Customers can also arrange to try equipment, with a training room and shop located near the flying site
