Surf Cerrito is a brand that is passionate about sharing the joy and benefits of surfing with the children of Cerrito de la Virgen, Peru. Founded in November 2021 by Brayan Hilario and Daisy Hill-Norton, Surf Cerrito aims to create connections between nature, mental health, and the local community.

Initially facing resistance from parents, Surf Cerrito persevered and successfully ran weekly surf classes, which gained popularity week by week. With the support of the Founder Family, they built a Surf Academy in the heart of Cerrito de la Virgen, equipped with a bathroom and outdoor platform to accommodate their growing number of attendees.

With a vision of empowering the young people of Cerrito de la Virgen and beyond through surfing, Surf Cerrito hopes to introduce more children to the sea and increase their positive impact within the community. Their ultimate goal is to have an International Surf Champion from Cerrito de la Virgen and provide every child in the community with the opportunity to experience the incredible benefits of the ocean.

Located in the welcoming community of Cerrito de la Virgen, Surf Cerrito is just a 10-minute drive from Huanchaco, a World Surf Reserve known for its world-class waves. With a dedicated team, including Co-Founders Brayan Hilario and Daisy Hill-Norton, Surf Cerrito is committed to creating positive change and promising futures for the children of Cerrito and surrounding communities.
