Surfers Paradise Rowing Club (SPRC) is a community-focused rowing club based in Bundall on Queensland’s Gold Coast, beside the Chevron Island Bridge and the Nerang River. It welcomes rowers of different ages, abilities and ambitions, offering a supportive environment focused on enjoyment, achievement and excellence. Its programs cater to adults, school-age athletes, university rowers and high-performance competitors.
Adult offerings include Learn to Row for people aged 18 and over, social crew rowing, masters rowing for those aged 27 and over, corporate team-building sessions and private coaching by arrangement. Training combines indoor and on-water instruction, with coaching tailored to participants’ experience and goals. Masters rowers can choose between relaxed sessions and structured preparation for regattas.
For younger athletes, SPRC runs summer development programs and winter school pathways, alongside performance training for U17, U19, U21, U23 and senior rowers. Its pathways support progression from junior development toward state, national or international competition, and include guidance for athletes interested in US college rowing.
