Surf Lesson Dudes

Surf Lesson Dudes is a surf instruction school serving Wilmington, North Carolina, and nearby coastal destinations. With more than 15 years of teaching experience, the business offers lessons for people of all ages and abilities, from first-time surfers to those looking to refine advanced skills. Its instructors cover practical techniques and ocean awareness, including rip-tide safety, paddling, board positioning, the pop-up, surf etiquette, and riding down the line.

Options include private lessons tailored to individual goals, small-group sessions for friends and families, and a Figure 8 Island Surf Camp for children aged seven and older, with instruction adapted to each child’s needs and skill level. The Yoga & Surf Experience pairs a 30-minute yoga warm-up with a one-hour surf lesson. Surf lessons and equipment rentals are available at Wrightsville Beach, Figure 8 Island, Carolina Beach, and Topsail Island.
